GMG survives street fight in Long Beach to finish second in ALMS GT-C -

April 20, 2010 (Santa Ana, Calif.) – Rebounding from a disappointing result at the season-opening 12 Hours of Sebring, GMG Racing let the teams of the American Le Mans Series know they mean business by running up front in GT-C throughout the Tequila Patron American Le Mans Series at Long Beach. Qualifying second for the 100-minute sprint race, the No.32 GMG / Spectra Resources Porsche 911 GT3 Cup ran in second place for the early part of the race as Curtis, who started the race, drove impressively with the race leaders even through lapped traffic.

A pitstop cycle saw the GMG Porsche drop to third place, as Curtis exited the car and Sofronas re-entered the race in third position. Running right behind the two leading cars throughout the final portion of the race, Sofronas was able to move up to second place and finish the race right on the bumper of the winner. GMG World Challenge Sport center section with sport catalyst for the 996 GT3 & RS 3.6 from 2000-2004

A considerable amount of testing has yielded another industry leading product from GMG and its racing program in World Challenge competition. The GMG center section is designed for the performance minded enthusiast who is not only looking to save weight at the rear of the vehicle but also interested in optimizing performance of the 3.6 liter engine Found in the 966 GT3 /RS and Gen 1 cup cars while retaining the left and right outlet of the rear bumper.

GMG proprietary center section is utilized with 200 cell German made metal matrix catalyst that are specifically designed and tested for the GT3 to optimize performance and increase HP while also improving the sound. The center section provides a healthy note to the exhaust making it sound more refined and cup car esque in its note.

The center section is made to T304 U.S. made mandrel bent stainless steel and features laser cut stainless flanges.

A direct replacement unit which utilizes the factory hardware from cat section to muffler so you can utilize our World Challenge sport mufflers or leave the stock mufflers if you wish.

Direct replacement system which replaces the left and right catalyst. No CEL lights.
