GMG World Challenge Harness/Roll Bar
An evolution of the factory Tequipment bar, our World Challenge bar is made of 4130 Chrome-Moly Tubing that has been tig welded and normalized for superior strength and rigidity.
A common problem of the factory T equipment bar is that it requires the use of 1-piece fixed back GT3 style seats for proper leg room. If you are 5’10” and taller moving the seat back far enough is a challenge with factory bar.
The GMG World Challenge Harness/Roll Bar offers these key features.
- Made of Chrome-Moly Tubing that has been carefully tig welded and normalized
- Designed to work standard reclining seats or GT3 fixed back seats offering drivers the ability to move the seat all the way back (Not possible with the factory Tequipment Rollbar)
- Designed to work with clip in kit for harness (no need to drill holes in your floor to mount the harness anchors)
- Additional cross-brace and lugs for increased rigidity and strength
- Comes complete with all hardware to install. Mounts like the factory bar –(directly to seat belt anchors, no cutting required of car)
- Available in Standard Satin Black finish or Bavarian Silver powder coat (optional color matching to your car available)
- Installation at our facility is available and recommended.

GMG introduces a new version of the GT harness bar. This bar is made for
owners of 996 and 997 models who don’t want or need the additional support
of the cross brace. Allows access to the rear seats and still offers roll
over protection. The bar features all the quality and engineering of the
standard GT harness bar. (see GT Harness bar above)

GMG GT Cup Harness Reinforcement Bracing
This unit is a simple bolt on upgrade to the first generation GT and second generation Cup Harness Bars. Our additional bracing upgrade offers 996 and 997 owners the option to incorporate additional chassis stiffening and safety by allowing them to install the additional braces which mount to the rear strut towers. This is possible while also offering a fully functional strut tower brace.
The brace is manufactured of the same high quality chromoly tubing as the roll bar itself. We also utilize machined inserts that have been TIG welded and normalized for maximum strength.
- Sold as an option for both the GT and Cup harness bars
- Sold as a complete set; all hardware is included
- Removal of existing rollbar is unnecessary
